Challenge Preparatory Charter School is celebrating 7 years of excellence in education in Far Rockaway, NY. The upcoming 2017-18 Academic year will include the first class of 8th graders for Challenge Prep, representing years of dedication to make the school a reality and fulfillment of the K-8 charter.
Challenge Prep is now taking lottery applications for 2017-18 which are due by 5:00p on March 31st, 2017. The school provides excellent support services for English Language Learners (ELLs) and Special Education scholars particularly in Community School District 27.
“I am excited about what we have been able to do through Challenge Prep these seven years and about our vision for the future. There is good work before us, and I’m honored that our school is leading some of the great changes taking place in our community,” said Founder/CEO Rev. Dr. Les Mullings.
Families interested in applying are encouraged to attend an Open House in the coming weeks. Open Houses will take place simultaneously at each Challenge Preparatory school site at 710 Hartman Lane (K-5) and 1526 Central Avenue (6-8) at 9:00a-10:30a and 5:00p-6:00p on the following Wednesdays: February 8, February 15, March 1, March 15, and March 22.
