CCMS Scholars Visit Bronx High School of Science

On Wednesday, June 7th over 30 Challenge Charter Middle Schoolers visited the Bronx High School of Science. Multiple teachers and staff made the trip possible including RTI Director Tania Williams, School Counselor Caroline Turner, AP Stephanie Douglas, 7th Grade ELA Teacher Lageshia Moore and Principal Webber-Bey.

The Bronx High School of Science is one of the best in New York and CCMS scholars got a glimpse of the rigorous expectations, course offerings, and extracurricular activities including Pre Med, Robotics, Violin, Planetarium, Science Labs, Drama Club and more. Students at Bronx High School engaged our scholars at the Open House to showcase the academic environment and interests they pursue at the school.

Tania Williams expressed her excitement about the visit saying, “Our scholars deserve top notch and clearly, under the leadership of Dr. Mullings, we will give our scholars top notch! From this experience, I truly believe we've empowered scholars by exposing them to what could be.”
