CCS is joining the worldwide celebration of Character Day on Friday, September 18, 2015. The event is sponsored by Let It Ripple.
The Challenge Charter Network is providing access to the media resource - The Science of Character - created for the Character Day celebration on the Parenting Resources page of the Challenge Charter Middle School website.
Dr. Les Mullings, Founder/CEO of Challenge Charter Schools stated: "Without character our scholars will ultimately not succeed as global citizens!. Challenge joins the thousands of organizations and schools celebrating Charter Day! We hope each parent will take the opportunity to play this powerful and insightful film to their scholar."
Let it Ripple is led by Tiffany Shlain, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and founder of The Webby Awards, the team at San Francisco-based 501c3 Let it Ripple has had four films premiere at Sundance, has won over 70 awards, and has had three of their films selected by The U.S. State Department to screen at embassies around the world to foster dialogue across borders. Let It Ripple’s mission is to use film, technology, discussion materials, and live and virtual events to engage people in conversation and action around complicated subjects that are shaping our lives, and updating these topics through an engaging, accessible, 21st century lens.
