Challenge Middle Represented at Library Conference

Earlier this month, CCMS Library Media Specialist, Terri Ciaramello attended the Fall NYC School Library System Conference at Citi Field. The event's theme was Leadership through Engagement, and it was well attended by School Librarians from all five boroughs. The keynote speaker was Dr. Barbara Stripling, the Senior Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University.

In addition to the keynote address, there were excellent break out sessions including one on collaboration through technology. There were several vendors present promoting both print and digital resources for students across the grade levels. The closing Session was an author talk with Sharon Draper, and attendees left with a copy of one of her best selling novels. Ms. Ciaramello shared her copy of Out of My Mind with 7th grade ELA.
