Annual Field Day is Aimed at Fun and Increasing Voter Registrations

The Annual Challenge Prep Field Day will once again be held at Bayswater Park on June 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Vote for Your Child’s Future” as the school continues to focus on community engagement and development in the Rockaways. A Voter Registration booth will be available throughout the event.

The Rev. Dr. Les Mullings will serve as host, welcoming Queens elected officials, local community leaders, as well as Challenge Prep families, scholars and teachers to the event. Anticipated attendance is 800-1000 people. Challenge Prep’s Parent Association is offering 25 activity stations for students and families to enjoy. Music, presentations and speakers will be featured on the main stage throughout the day.

“Our annual Field Day is a celebration of everything our school has accomplished throughout the year. I’m especially proud that we have set a goal to increase voter registrations across Far Rockaway. Our citizens have a voice, and each of us has the ability to shape the future of the Rockaways for our children,” stated Mullings.

Field Day is hosted for the scholars, families, and staff of Challenge Preparatory Charter School and Challenge Charter Middle School.
