Making Google Classroom Better for Challenge Charter Schools

On Tuesday November 14, 2016, Aditya Patel, Community Manager for Google Classroom, visited Challenge Charter Schools. The purpose of the visit was to gain feedback from staff and scholars on using Google Classroom at Challenge Prep’s K-5 and Middle School sites. During his visit, Mr. Patel observed teachers using Google Classroom and discussed with staff and students the best practices that were used. Mr. Patel also invited questions about his position at Google and suggestions what features our schools would most likely want to see implemented in Google Classroom.

Scholars were especially interested in how Google Doodles got started. As Google defines them, “Doodles are the fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.” Google is currently inviting K-12 graders to submit their Google Doodles in a contest that ends this week on December 2nd. Challenge Prep thanks Aditya Patel and the Google Classroom Team for working with our teachers and students to make Google even better for our school.
