In mid September, our CEO and Founder, Rev. Dr. Mullings visited D.C. for the 42nd Annual Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference. While attending, Dr. Mullings had several key meetings with leaders including Rev. Dr. Agorom Dike, Chair of the Caribbean and African Faith-Based Leadership Conference.
The Congregational Black Caucus Foundation hosted its Annual Prayer Breakfast during the conference which featured music by the Royal Priesthood Choir and Tasha Cobbs. Rev. Dr. Cynthia Hale delivered the keynote address.
Local interests were well represented by leaders such as Congressman Gregory Meeks; Kevin Alexander, President, Valerie West, Community Affairs, and Linda Plummer, Board Chair of the Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation; as well as Marjorie Hill, CEO and Betty Leon, Vice Chair of the Addabbo Family Health Center.
"With the work we are doing in Far Rockaway, it is vital that we are a part of the bigger conversation at events like this in Washington, D.C. I am proud to represent our community and school interests and vision to our state and national leaders," stated Mullings.
