Vicky Rosario Named Community Program Manager

Ms. Vicky Rosario was recently named Challenge Preparatory Community Program Manager. The new part-time position provides administrative support and management for Challenge Charter Schools’ community offerings including Saturday Academy, Summer Day Camps and Afterschool programming. Rosario comes to the position with over 15 years of professional experience as an administrative assistant, events and project manager.

Ms. Rosario holds a BA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College. For over 10 years she managed a chain of pharmacies in the tri-state area, and she has worked with New York City Children’s Center and other local businesses. She also worked as a Caseworker at Rickers Island to help younger inmates 18 and under awaiting sentencing or serving their sentence to ensure they continued school to their GED.

Before accepting this position, Ms. Rosario served Challenge Charter Schools through interpretation services during Application and Lottery season and provided administrative support at K-5 and Middle School sites for Saturday Academy.  We welcome Ms. Rosario to this position that will be instrumental this summer and beyond as Challenge Charter Schools and our services for the community continue to grow.
